Ahmet Sezgin

I was born in Urgup in 1971. After I went to Primary –Secondary and High School in Cappadocia , I studied English at Kayseri University , English Language Department. In the following completion of military service, I worked in Cappadocia for tourism field 5 years for hotel management and 5 years for to be travel agency director and another 5 years to be tour guide.

Luckily, having friends who were already in travel business made me consider tourism as a new profession wide-opening a huge gate through which I could make a living as well as enjoy doing something for not only myself but also the country. Therefore I was able to attend the courses to become a tour guide established by the Ministry of Tourism in 2001. Consequently I got my tour guide license in 2001.

Ever since I became an official tour guide, I have taken thousands of travelers around various places from Istanbul to Cappadocia , Antalya , Ephesus , etc. The tours I have led privately in a car or on a tour bus dealt with not only history, archaeology, geography of the places visited but also discovering the Turkish way of life in the city or the countryside by making stops at every possible place to interact with Turkish people.
